The comprehensive operation of an industry park involves land development, carrier construction, investment attraction, operations management, property service and commercial facilities. At the end of 2012, Dongguan City Biotech Industry Development Co., Ltd. was authorized by Dongguan Municipal People’s Government as the comprehensive operator of Cross-Straits Biotech Industry Cooperation Base. With a planned land area of 8,000 mu in Songshan Lake and townships of Dongguan, the Base is estimated to be invested with RMB 9.5 billion. As of the first half of 2017, the Base had been joined by 260 enterprises, including quality enterprises like HEC Pharm, 3Sbio Inc., Capital Genomics and Lifotronic. The Biotech Tower under construction covers a land area of 200 mu and is built for enterprise R&D and headquarters operations.
